Putin: Only UNSC can sanction military action against Syria govt
Posted on 01:57 by Unknown
President Vladimir Putin says Russia will wait for rock hard evidence before deciding who carried out an alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria last month. He says all options remain on the table - but facts and international authorization from the United Nations Security Council should come before intervention.
Putin will not allow Syria to become a repeat of Libya, and has warned previously that it could lead to WW3 if western powers do not stop warmongering in the strategically important to Russias deterrence capability state of Syria. As a veto wielding permanent member of the security council it is within Russia's power to block any attempt to legitimize use of force on a sovereign country that has made no moves against the USA or any other country. Clearly if an attack goes forward on Syria it will be another illegal act of war by USA chicken hawks, and could spell the beginning of apocalyptic global nuclear war. (All very avoidable)
