The U.S. and its Chemical Weapons Story - Kerry in Geneva - ARREST HIM!!!!!
Posted on 15:42 by Unknown
While the United States pressures Syria to give up their chemical weapons stockpiles, it's worth noting the United States has more than 3,000 tons of chemical weapons of its own, locked in storage waiting to be destroyed. It's estimated that the United States won't finish destroying these weapons until 2023 -- long after the deadline imposed by the Chemical Weapons Convention. Secretary of State John Kerry is in Geneva, where he and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov are in a two-day meeting to discuss how to disarm Syria's chemical weapons. The meeting includes full diplomatic teams from the US and Russia, as well as chemical weapons experts. The two teams hope to have resolution to present to the United Nations Security Council by the end of negotiations. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad openly agreed to turn over arms and to begin submitting data on his chemical arsenal one month after signing an international chemical weapons ban.
